Sony to Announce More PS4 Games At Gamescom

Even more good news has arrived for potential Playstation 4 buyers today. After the strong console reveal and an almost perfect E3 showing, it seems Sony can do no wrong in the eyes of the consumer these days. Oh how the times have changed. Know on top on all that it seems that Gamescom will bring even more good news, in the form of games.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO Jim Ryan said: "There's a lot [of games] coming. I'm sure you heard from Shuhei [Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios] that he has, just from his studios, 30 games in development. 20 are going to ship within the first year of the console's life and of those 12 are new IPs, so there's a lot going on, it is just that we need to keep stuff back. We've got Gamescom for us Europeans and we need something to show at Gamescom."

So expect new titles to be announced at Gamescom which takes place August 21-25 in Germany. Don’t expect a new Uncharted to be announced but this is the perfect stage to promote new IPs such as Puppeteer and Media Molecule's Tearaway for the Vita last year and continue to show support for the indie scene. Whatever the games are, it seems that the good news just keeps on coming for Sony’s new console.
