Sudi 51 releases details on new game, Killer Is Dead

Grasshoper Manufacture is an insane studio run by Suda 51, and everyone knows that by now. WIth the success of his two most recent games, Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw, Suda 51 is looking at continuing the trend by releasing a new game this summer, Killer is Dead. Up to today, however, no one has really known just what the game is about. Thanks to an excellent article detailed in the new issue of popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, we finally get some new details on the latest project by Grasshopper.

From the look of things, it sounds like Killer is Dead will have combat reminsicent of Lollipop Chainsaw, while mixing in some of the unlockable gameplay from Shadows of the Damned. The game's premise sounds even more insane then any previous Suda 51 game:

"Only a short time in the future, where we travel to the moon and remodel our bodies, one day main character Mondo Zappa receives a notification of employment from the secret state agency called “The Execution Office.” Here, he is tasked with executing assassins around the world."

Yeah, so that sounds pretty ridiculous.

Different characters are also detailed in the new article, and this is where the game seemingly is pulling back to the No More Heroes days of things. While not many images have been released from the game, expect to see details explode within the next couple of months, as we inch closer to its release this summer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
