Switched at Birth to End After Season Five

Switched at Birth on Freeform is ending after its fifth season. The show’s creator, Lizzy Weiss, made the announcement on Twitter on Friday. twitterSAB Switched at Birth is a show about two families that come together when they find out that their daughters were switched at the hospital when they were born. The series has been praised for its depiction of deaf characters, which helped earn the show a Peabody Award in 2012. The fifth and final season premiere date hasn’t been set yet, but it will most likely air this summer and will be made up of 10 episodes with a 90 minute final episode, according to TVLine. The show stars Vanessa Marano, Katie LeClerc, Lea Thompson, Constance Marie, and Lucas Grabeel. It looks like the network will continue to mix up its programming now that is has officially changed from ABC Family to Freeform. See how Switched at Birth comes to an end this summer.
