Tekken 7’s Release Date Announced

"Not Early 2017 as many hoped, but it's coming with more post-launch support than I thought"
Bandai Namco announced today what has been long awaited for Tekken fans. After being out at arcades (mostly Asia) for two years now, Tekken 7 is finally coming out on June 2nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is not early 2017 as many expected it to be, but more time to be sure the launch has the complete package is the right call. The developers themselves didn't want to have the same mistake other fighting games (mainly Street Fighter V) had launching with less content. Plus they're making sure online play works smoothly along with other modes. The latest trailer for the sequel is available to watch below. Tekken 7 for consoles and PC does have a pre-order bonus, which is another character Eliza. The female vampire made her debut in the free to play Tekken Revolution on PS3. For those that are not pre-ordering, she will be eventually be available for everyone to buy sometime after launch. Xbox One folks also get the 360 version of Tekken 6 for free and that game is now backwards compatible. A season pass was also announced today with new characters, stages and costumes post-launch. C23JYgIUcAAmxom PlayStation 4 exclusive content is still planned for Tekken 7's launch as well. Legacy costumes for King, Xiaoyu and Jin are coming along with Juxebox Mode where you can listen to classic Tekken tracks. We still don't know what type of PlayStation VR support the game is gonna have. Hopefully we'll find out soon as I was concerned it won't make the original launch window. Tekken 7 comes out on June 2nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
