Doomsday’s epic return in comics will shatter the hearts and minds of readers all over the globe! As Doomsday is best known for being the first (and only) creature to kill Superman, anyone that knows of Superman must know of his death. Doomsday’s return will be the most epic battle in Superman’s legacy. However, the Man of Steel might not battle this killing machine (firsthand) in the Reign Of Doomsday story arc. That’s right Steel, Superboy, and others will have to defeat Doomsday, before his reign becomes permanent on the Earth!
The Reign of Doomsday! You could write a whole book about that subject. As most know already Doomsday will be making a return in comics, starting next year in January. As the chaos and destruction of Doomsday will first branch into the story of Steel #1! Doomsday (first) arrives in Metropolis looking for Superman, but instead of finding Superman, he finds the second “Man Of Steel”. As Superman is an alien with different physiology than humans, Steel is just a man that can be crushed by the power of Doomsday! So who will win in this first battle? It’s as unknown to me, as it’s unknown to you, so get ready for Steel #1 as it is released on January 5, 2011.
Next up is part 2 of the series. Doomsday will strike the Outsiders in #37. In Markovia, The Eradicator is struggling with a battle against the death-machine known as Doomsday! It’s a fight to the death and if Eradicator fails it leaves the Outsider members Geo-Force, Katana, The Looker, Halo and Olympian all the remaining heroes to defeat the beast only created for death. While all this chaos is happening, Black Lightning and his Outsiders have their backs against the wall in the U.S. government, and they have two choices. Live a life in jail, or lead an invasion on their former home base in Markovia! Outsiders #37 will be released on February 16, 2011.
