Thief Also Coming To Xbox 360 and PS3

Eidos Montreal have announced that their up and coming Thief reboot will be coming to this generation’s consoles.

Originally said by Square-Enix to be a Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC release, the studio yesterday unveiled the news that they are now working on PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the title.

Announced through a special video and post on their blog, the developers have said that every version of Thief will be released simultaneously on all platforms, when the game is unveiled next year.

According to the aforementioned blog post by Community Manager, Adam Badke, “While the visual quality that PCs and next-generation consoles are capable of is obviously impressive, it’s important to know that Thief’s core gameplay experience will be the same across all platforms.”

Badke also added, “The development team wanted to take special care to ensure their vision for the game was achievable on the current generation of machines, so it’s especially exciting to be able to finally announce to our fans around the world that they are able to achieve this goal.”

What do you make of this news? Would you rather play Thief on your current console or buy it on a next-gen one? Will this cause yet more people to delay buying new consoles? Let us know your thoughts down below.
