THQ Digital have announced a new downloadable title, set to come out on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The game is called Red Faction: Battlegrounds and was confirmed at the Game Developers Conference in German. It is one of the three titles the studio is working on, and will be a top-down combat game which includes car, mech, and rovers. It will also have up to four player online multiplayer and the chance to build up achievements which will unlock new items for Red Faction: Armageddon when it is released.
There is currently very little detail on the title and there is also not yet a release date, although it is likely to arrive some time near the end of this year.
