Thunderbirds are Go Back for Season Two in November

"Amazon is the Prime Location to Watch This Remake"
Amazon has announced season two of Thunderbirds are Go will premiere on streaming service Amazon Prime in early November, according to published reports. The series, a remake of the classic Supermarionation series from the 1960s, will feature new episodes and will continue the International Rescue theme from season one. Thunderbirds are Go premiered in 2015, with 26 22-minute episodes. The second season is expected to follow the same format, and is also set in the year 2060. The new series, just as the original, focuses on the five Tracy brothers. The brothers work together in International Rescue, a secret organization that uses technologically advanced vehicles for land, sea, air, and space operations. The five main machines, or Thunderbirds, are each piloted by one of the five brothers. thunderbirdsmarionetas The Thunderbirds are Go is a reboot of the original Thunderbird series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson in 1965. The original series was also set in the mid-2060s, and was a follow-up to the earlier Supermarionation productions Four Feather Falls, Supercar, Fireball XL5 and Stingray all involving Gerry Anderson. Since the original 1960s series, the Thunderbirds has become worldwide cult sensation and have been remade or redone many times. The Thunderbirds characters were re-imagined as a Japanese anime during the 1980s as Thunderbirds 2086.  Fox brought back a version of the original episodes as Thunderbirds in 1994 and UPN tried a slightly different approach as Turbocharged Thunderbirds in 1994 and 1995. The creators of South Park Matt Stone and Trey Parker even created their own parody version, Team America: World Police, in 2004. Thunderbirds are Go is the latest version, and probably the closest to the original concept. team_america_poster_300px While the original series used electronic marionette puppetry or Supermarionation, the new Thunderbirds are Go is produced using a mixture of CGI animation and live-action model sets in an attempt to merge the classic look of the original with today's technology for a modern audience. Thunderbirds are Go is produced by ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures in collaboration with Weta Workshop. The series is written by Rob Hoegee (Generator Rex, Teen Titans) and directed by David Scott (LEGO Star Wars) and The Wotnots' Theo Baynton. 1455159902932 In addition to the second season, the first season of Thunderbirds Are Go is also available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
