Todd McFarlane’s “Devil’s in the Details” Sells Out

I guess people didn’t listen to my careful calculations in Todd McFarlane Fan’s Ultimate Art Book. Todd McFarlane fans numbered in the many, all clamoring for this visual autobiography of the writer and president of Image Comics and Todd McFarlane Productions.  The book, The Art of Todd McFarlane: The Devil’s in the Details, sold out its 5,000 copy-limited run (700 were signed-and-numbered editions).  The book covered more than 30 years of Todd McFarlane’s life in the comic book business and includes 400 pages of personal anecdotes and art. The book is available now at the still staggering price of $64.99 (or $100 for a signed addition). Because of the high demand for that lead to the first print being completely sold out, there will be a paperback edition of the book published in March 2013.  Based on price, the book doesn’t seem to be worth it, but I’ll find out for myself since I recently received a copy that I may review…  The Art of Todd McFarlane
