Tom Amandes Joins Arrow as DC Villain The Calculator

"Retirement never lasts long in the hero business."
It was reported earlier this week that Colton Haynes would be reprising his role as Roy Harper on Arrow, but now we know what brings him out of retirement. [caption id="attachment_77518" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Tom Amandes (Image via EW.)[/caption] According to TVLine, Tom Amandes (Chicago FireRevenge) has been cast as DC Comics villain Noah Kuttler (better known as The Calculator). Kuttler is described as "a criminal mastermind and technical genius," who "uses his advanced skills in computer science and internet manipulation to blackmail Roy (Colton Haynes) out of retirement to do his bidding." Naturally, this leads to an "epic battle" with Green Arrow and the team, probably due to Roy being blackmailed not because he was Arsenal, but because he posed as the Arrow. As Haynes is set to return for episode 12, titled “Unchained,” Amandes is expected to debut in the same episode. Interestingly, he is not scheduled to appear on Arrow once, but twice, meaning there are a number of different ways his storyline could go. If he’s saved for later in the season, he might return as a bigger threat, but his blackmailing skills may make him useful to Team Arrow in their fight against Damien Darhk. Arrow returns December 2 with the second half of the Flash-Arrow crossover event, “Legends of Yesterday.” Featured image via Comic Vine.
