ellie-kemper-nbc-netflix-unbreakable-kimmy-schmidt Even though season 2 has yet to premiere, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has already been renewed for a third season, according to Variety. The second season will arrive on Netflix April 15. The show is executive produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, and stars Ellie Kemper as a woman who is reintroduced into the real world after living underground for over a decade believing that the world had ended. Fey teased the upcoming season by saying that even though the show is made for Netflix, it still has act breaks and each episode should clock in at around 27 minutes. The show was original created for NBC, but shifted to Netflix instead. According to Fey, this opened up room for more possibilities. Since the show has reached a much younger audience, Fey commented that she feels responsible and will make sure the show continues to appeal to a wide range of viewers. Netflix also released a number of other premiere dates including Orange is the New Black season 4, which will arrive June 17, 2016. The first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt earned numerous award nominations, and it will be interesting to see what season two has to offer. Catch up with the first season on Netflix now.
