Wicked City Canceled by ABC

The first broadcast network cancellation has come and claimed Wicked City. ABC axed the drama after airing just three episodes and it will be pulled from the schedule immediately. Shark Tank repeats will be taking over its Tuesday night slot starting this week. Last Tuesday’s episode had only 1.7 million viewers and 0.4 rating among adults 18-49, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show focused on two L.A. detectives searching for romantically-linked serial killers (Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen) who terrorized the Sunset Strip in 1982. So far there isn’t any information on if the episodes already filmed will be released elsewhere. Broadcasters have been more hesitant to officially pull the plug on shows this year than in seasons past, waiting until they know they have something that can do better.
