Super Mario 3D World and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds bookended this month’s Nintendo Direct, which also showed off the new Sonic games and Wii Party U. Even older titles like Pikmin 3 and Animal Crossing got love with DLC.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Wii Sports Club, and Wii Fit U are all apart of some experimentation by Nintendo to launch games differently than the normal full game launch. From early releases digitally to tiered methods of purchase, Nintendo is really taking their digital platform seriously.
