World of Warcraft Reclaiming Old Character Names

"Blizzard has announced they will be reclaiming character names from older accounts"
Choosing a name for your character in a massively multiplayer game can be a pain. More often than not, your favored handle has already been taken by somebody else meaning you're stuck with either choosing a new name or adding numbers and characters to it to make it less personal. World of Warcraft that boasts over 1,000,000 accounts made since launch and has today announced that with the upcoming patch 6.0.2, Blizzard will reclaim the names of any player who hasn't logged into the game since November 13, 2008 opening a whole world to naming possibilities.

Blizzard explains, "Our goal with this great name liberation is to make sure new and returning players have a large and varied pool of names available to choose from. So log in now if you wish to preserve your unused characters’ names for your journey intro Draenor."
For those who haven't logged in in a while, make sure you login with your account before patch 6.0.2 goes live to ensure you keep your names!
