FXX has ordered a third season of its dark comedy, You’re the Worst, according to Deadline. Series creator/exec producer Stephen Falk also signed a deal to develop and produce projects for FX networks and FX Prods.

The renewal comes just as the show’s sophomore season is coming to an end. This season has featured some daring storylines, including an honest and realistic look at depression, which is topic rarely dealt with in comedies. You’re the Worst is known for being hilarious, while also focusing on a wide range of topics. Besides depression, the show has also covered post traumatic stress disorder.

You’re the Worst is a modern look at love and life through the eyes of two people who haven’t had much luck with either. The main characters Gretchen (Aya Cash) and Jimmy (Chris Geere) explore Los Angeles, friendship, romance, and more. The series also stars Desmin Borges and Kether Donohue, who was recently cast in Grease Live. The series airs Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c on FXX.

This renewal ends FX’s comedy canceling streak. See what Gretchen and the gang will be up to in season three, which is set to premiere in summer 2016.
