According to Variety, Murphy revealed that Lady Gaga will play a singer named Elizabeth, who is a “wealthy social doyenne." It was also revealed that Gaga’s character will have various romantic entanglements with characters played by Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett and Cheyenne Jackson. Among the show's returning faces, Kathy Bates will be playing the titular hotel's manager, while series mainstay Sarah Paulson will play her arch-enemy. After the mixed reviews from last season, it will be interesting to see if AHS: Hotel will be able to bring viewers back into the fold. American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on October 7th on FX.
