American Horror Story Season Four Details

After news broke last week that FX’s hit drama American Horror Story would be back for a fourth season, speculation began as to when and where the next installment of the dark and strange anthology series would be set. According to creator Ryan Murphy, the next season will not be a contemporary story, unlike the show’s first and current seasons. Murphy also let slip that the next season will be either in Santa Fe, NM or once again set in New Orleans, LA, which has been the setting of this season’s story.

However, Murphy was quick to quash speculation that the fourth season would be a continuation of the current American Horror Story: Coven storyline. American Horror Story has made a name for itself by using a repertory company of actors, but changing the story, characters, time, and location with each new season. According to Murphy, the fourth season will continue the same trend. New cast members Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates have already been approached to return next year, while many of the continual cast members, including Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange, are also expected to return.
