Another Heroes Original Cast Member to Return for Heroes Reborn

Well, it looks like there will be a number of original Heroes cast members returning for the show’s reboot, Heroes Reborn, this fall. Just not any of the ones we all might like to see again.

Joining the previously announced returnees Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet/Horned-Rimmed Glasses), Masi Oka (Hiro), and Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Hatian) will be Greg Grunberg, reprising his role as telepath Matt Parkman. Also along for the ride will be a number of newbies, including Zachary Levi.

As someone who loved the first season of Heroes, and lamented its complete fall into utter disrepair immediately afterward, I’m extremely cautious of this reboot (even though it will likely benefit from a shortened, 13-episode season). That being said, Matt Parkman? Really? While the other major players, like Zachary Quinto, (wisely) said no to reprising their roles, I’m not particularly encouraged by the thought of seeing Parkman once again. But who knows? Maybe this new series will right the wrongs of the past? We’ll find out this fall on NBC.

I wanted to see Peter battle Syler. They had a couple brief confrontations which were fun, but then they took most of Peter’s powers away.

They need to feature “future Hiro” in a reboot. He was very cool when he traveled back to see geeking present day Hiro.

The show was best when they had the normal people suddenly with powers trying to overcome evil. Those were mainly Peter, Hiro and Parkman. The great government conspiracy was tedious.
