From Batman to Birdman: ‘Birdman’ Set to Open Venice Film Festival

Thanks to the good people at The Wrap, we have learned that Batman himself, Micheal Keaton, has traded in the pointy ears for a shiny new beak in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's forthcoming Birdman or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance for the 71st Venice International Film Festival. birdman-michael-keaton-birdman One of the most eagerly anticipated films scheduled for a fall release, it boasts an all-star cast including the likes of Edward Norton, Emma Stone and Zach Galifianakis among others. The film will first screen at the festival on August 27th and then open here in the States on October 17th. Check out the intriguing trailer here!
