Bloodline Ending After Season 3

Netflix has announced that the next season of Bloodline will be the show’s last, according to Variety, despite the series's recent third season renewal. The series follows the Rayburn family as they uncover their past secrets when their brother returns home. benblood_o Bloodline received two Emmy nominations this year, including one that earned Ben Mendelsohn a surprise win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The show was created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler and stars Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, and Ben Mendelsohn. Both Mendelsohn and Chandler received Emmy nominations for both seasons. Zelman stated that he had plans for the show to have up to six seasons if Netflix wanted them, but three will be their final season count. Many have theorized that the cost of producing the series had an impact on the decision to cancel it. According to Vulture, Netflix was paying Sony somewhere between $70 million and $85 million for a ten-episode season. With such high cost, viewership might not have been justifying the cost.
