CBS Orders ‘Draw Something’ Pilot

It has been reported that CBS has ordered a Win, Lose or Draw-style game show pilot based on the popular Zynga mobile game Draw Something. CBS, who previously broke new ground by airing a comedy series based on a Twitter feed (S*** My Dad Says), is set to pioneer the mobile-app-to-television field sometime next year with the new venture.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Embassy Row, the show will feature teams of celebrities and everyday people testing their skills in front of a studio audience to earn money. It has been reported that the show will follow the modern trend of allowing viewers to play along at home for a chance to win prizes and compete with the contestants on the show. As it stands, there is no substantive information on production, in particular, who might host the show.

The announcement comes just three months after Zynga bought OMGPOP (the developer of the Pictionary-like game) for a reported $180 million. The game itself surpassed 50 million total downloads in April and had, had over 6 billion drawings created at the time.
