Ewan McGregor to Star in Fargo Season Three

FX has announced that Ewan McGregor (Star Wars prequels) will be starring in the upcoming third season of the anthology series Fargo. McGregor will take on the dual roles of brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy. Actor Ewan McGregor arrives at the premiere of the movie "The Impossible" at Arclight Cinema in Hollywood Per FX, Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, Emmit sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, Ray Stussy, on the other hand is more of a cautionary tale. Balding, pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, Ray has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames his brother, Emmit, for his misfortunes. While not much is known about the third installment of the award-winning series, it has been announced that the series will take place closer to present day than past seasons (season one was set in 2006, while season two was set in 1979). McGregor's characters will be central to the season's action. Production on the third season will begin later this year, and the season will premiere in 2017. Additional casting is expected to be announced in the coming months.
