Final True Detective Season Two Casting Announced
After months of speculation (and several months after the show's expected season two filming date came and went with nary a peep), the final casting for
True Detective season two has been completed. The series, which follows the anthology set-up of
American Horror Story and
Fargo by telling a new story every season, will set its sophomore tale in Southern California and bring several more high profile film stars to the television world.

Joining the already announced Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell will be Rachel McAdams (portraying Ani Bezzerides, an ethical Ventura County Sheriff’s detective, and taking on the mantle as the show's sole female main cast member), Taylor Kitsch (portraying Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol), and Kelly Reilly (portraying Vince Vaughn's character, Frank Semyon's, wife Jordan).
Production on the season has already begun and HBO is planning on the second season of the hit series to run in the summer of 2015. The second season will explore the relationship between multiple law enforcement offices (three of the four central characters work for different branches of law enforcement, while the fourth- Vaughn's character- is a criminal element looking to go straight) and how they become entangled in scandal and violence in the Southern California area.
