Turn off the Lights

First Jessica Jones Trailer Released

Last winter Netflix announced it was finally casting the long-awaited Jessica Jones series, and now, less than two  months before the premiere date, we finally have a trailer. It may be short, but it makes it clear that Jessica Jones is going to be a very different type of superhero. The series stars Krysten Ritter as the female superhero-turned detective. The clip helps paints Jones as a booze-loving, slightly disorganized woman who has trouble waking up by 3 p.m. The only hint of of her superhero power comes when she smashes her alarm clock to bits with her bare hand. Although we don’t get to hear her talk, or even see her face, we get the idea that she’s not to be messed with. The series is set to debut at 12:01 a.m. PT on Nov. 20 with 13 hour-long episodes. The cast is stacked with impressive stars including David Tennant as villain Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Jessica’s best friend, Trish Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss as an unnamed ally, according to Variety. There are high-expectations for Jessica Jones, especially after the success of the Daredevil series, which premiered earlier this year. We will just have to tune Nov. 20 to see if Jessica Jones can live up to the hype. Check out the first trailer below.
