FX Announces Winter Premiere Dates

FX has announced several upcoming premiere dates for both new and returning series. The channel will premiere the fifth season of its critically acclaimed drama Justified on January 7, 2014. The series, which stars Timothy Olyphant, is one of FX’s stronger ratings performers in addition to continually receiving critical praise. Unfortunately, the show has yet to have a breakout awards season to go along with the positive reviews.

Archer cast

Also announced were the premiere dates for two FX comedy series. Returning favorite Archer will be premiering on January 13 for its fourth season. The cartoon comedy will be part of a cartoon comedy duo for FX that will include the new series Chozen, which is described as being about a “gay white rapper” who has just been released from prison.

Chozen was originally scheduled to run on FX’s sister network FXX, but was bumped up to FX to create the animation line-up. The move means that Ali G: Resurrection will now be paired up with the comedy Legit on FXX. Those two comedies will premiere in February, as will FX’s critically acclaimed drama The Americans.
