FX Renews Two Freshman Comedies

FX Networks has announced the renewal of two freshman comedies: You're the Worst and Married. While neither series has become a break out hit for the network, both have slowly worked their way into the hearts of critics (more so You're the Worst, which garnered fervent support from a number of high profile critics after a shaky start). youre_the_worst1 Married looks at, you guessed it, a married couple as they try to figure out what drew them to each other after spending years lost in the haze of kids and suburban life. The series stars Judy Greer and Nat Faxon. Conversely, You're the Worst tells the tale of two pretty awful people who spend the night together after meeting at a wedding and begin to realize that they have fallen for each other. A darker show than Married, Worst tends to skew more toward the 18-34 age group. Married will return to FX next year with new episodes, while You're the Worst will move to FX's sister network FXX to help bolster its comedy focused line-up that currently includes The League and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. FX has not announced return dates for the shows, but they are anticipated to return in late summer of 2015.
