Game of Thrones Season Seven Trailer Released

Yes, there are still several months left beforeĀ Game of Thrones's much anticipated season sevenĀ premiere (set for July 16th, 2017, for those who haven't already added it to their calendars). But the season's first teaser trailer, which was released today, will certainly get fans excited for the fight that is coming for some of the show's remaining characters. The teaser trailer, embedded below, show three of the show's core characters- Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and Cersei Lannister- each walking to their respective seats of power. Last season saw Dany teaming up with Yara and Theon Greyjoy to mount an attack on the Seven Kingdoms and claim her place as the rightful queen (at least through the Targaryen line), while Cersei took over the role as queen of the Seven Kingdoms following the suicide of her last remaining child, King Tommen. As for Jon, he declared himself King of the North. Many fans have speculated that season seven will feature a battle for control of the Seven Kingdoms, and this trailer certainly hints that will be the case. Although, as the end of the trailer reminds us, there's a much more dangerous enemy lurking out in the snow, and I don't think he cares who wins the battle for the Iron Throne.
