HBO Announces Game of Thrones Return Date

"Silicon Valley and Veep to return the same night"
While we may not be getting the sixth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series anytime soon, we only have a few short months to wait until HBO's mega-hit Game of Thrones returns to our screens for its sixth installment. HBO announced today that we will return to Westeros on April 24th, with Thrones sixth season once again consisting of ten episodes. So, only a few more months until we discover Jon Snow's fate. Unsurprisingly, HBO didn't offer up any hints as to what is in store for the upcoming season, but as April approaches I am sure more short teaser trailers will arrive as well.

HBO also announced that its critically acclaimed comedies Silicon Valley and Veep (which, like Game of Thrones, took home several major Emmy awards this year) will premiere their third and fifth seasons (respectively) following Thrones's sixth season premiere. That's a heck of a Sunday night line-up.
