HBO Releases Trailer for Final Season of Treme

HBO has released the trailer for the upcoming final season of Treme. A critical darling that never quite caught on with audiences, Treme is a complex drama about jazz, the city of New Orleans, and a diverse cross-section of people living in the Treme neighborhood.

The series began by dealing with the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and has gone on to delve into a myriad of issues faced by individuals living within the city of New Orleans. Created by legendary writer David Simon (Homicide: Life on the Street, The Wire), the project is said to be a true labor of love for Simon and much of the shows cast and crew.

Facing dwindling ratings, HBO asked Simon how long he would need to wrap the series up. Simon told the network he would only need five episodes, so the series’ fourth and final season will consist of only five episodes. The season is set to begin airing on December 1, 2013. Check out the trailer below.
