Imperium: Daniel Radcliffe’s Next Project

"Radcliffe returns in a surprising role"
Anything that any former Harry Potter film star ends up getting into is something audiences will be looking ahead to. Take the lady Emma Watson in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast for instance. True, there are many fans of the 1991 animated film, but there just may be even more fans of the Harry Potter films. Heck, Hermione Granger as a character alone has a whole host of fans. If you were a gambling person, you might place your bets on audiences catching Beauty and the Beast more so for Emma Watson than for the nostalgia of the version of Beauty and the Beast from everyone's childhood. The same is true especially for Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe who, even during his tenure as The Boy Who Lived, has had the most eclectic career. No matter the film, it's a pretty safe bet that audiences will probably turn out for it. His string of interesting and surprising roles continues with the upcoming film Imperio. A story about the Imperius Curse, one of the three Unforgivable Curses. Okay, that was an irresistible Harry Potter joke. The actual title of the film is Imperium. MovieWeb reports that in the new flick, Radcliffe will play undercover FBI agent Nate Foster who must go undercover to stop a terrorist organization. Based on true events, Radcliffe's Foster will undoubtedly have to fight to maintain his personal values and morals while trying to keep above the waters of the dark world he has infiltrated. Set for an August 19 release, Imperium seems poised to be an intriguing thriller if nothing else.
