Jaume Collet-Serra to Direct Neeson in ‘Non-Stop’

Obviously pleased with the success of last year's small-budget action thriller Unknown, producer Joel Silver has reunited star Liam Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra for the airborne thriller Non-Stop.

Neeson got on board Dark Castle Entertaiment's "contained, gritty action thriller centering on an air marshal flying on a domestic flight" just last month and now Variety reports Collet-Serra will join him.
The Orphan director has entertained a number of projects since last year's modest $130-million (global) hit, including the sequel to 300, and was supposed to helm Warner Bros. live-action remake of Akira before the project was scrapped.

Silver has been developing the film since August when he picked up the spec script from John Richardson and Chris Roach. It was initially believed that Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) would direct, but now that Collet-Serra is available, he makes this a much more interesting project.

Production on Non-Stop is planned for October.
