Legends of Tomorrow Adds Potential JSA Member

In the season finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow's uneven first season, viewers were introduced to Rex Tyler. Fans of the Justice Society of America likely recognized that Rex Tyler is also known Hourman, a member of the JSA, signalling that the series will be delving into the world of DC's first super team for its second season. Well, that assumption appears to be confirmed with the latest piece of Legends of Tomorrow casting. According to the CW, Nick Zano (previously of the CW's 90210 reboot) will be joining the show in its second season as Dr. Nate Heywood, who just happens to be the grandson of former JSA member Commander Steel. For those well-versed in the JSA, you might also recognize Nate Heywood by his alter ego, Citizen Steel. While the CW and Legends of Tomorrow are mum on whether or not Heywood will be suiting up any time soon, it is safe to assume that at some point, we can expect Citizen Steel to make an appearance- especially if we look at how the other DC shows on the CW have handled similar situations. With this DC television universe already hinting at a potential Justice League of America forming (especially now, with Supergirl joining the line-up), having the JSA around as well should make things interesting.
