Marvel’s New Warriors Series Lands at Freeform

Freeform is officially doubling down on the Marvel game, announcing that the cable network will be airing the Marvel's New Warriors in addition to the upcoming hour-long drama Marvel's Cloak & Dagger. Unlike Cloak & DaggerNew Warriors will be a half-hour comedy, headlined by a set of six teenage superheros with powers viewers might not necessary associate with costumed crusaders if their only experience in the world of Marvel is The Avengers or The X-Men. But, for those fans wondering, yes, New Warriors will include Squirrel Girl (and for the uninitiated, here's where you can read up on the fan favorite character who will lead the team). No casting has been announced, but the series has been given a 10-episode, straight-to-series order by the network, and it will be the first half-hour comedy from Marvel Studios (DC, on the other hand, recently had the poorly reviewed Powerless on NBC). The series is expected to premiere in 2018, and we will keep you up-to-date on the latest news regarding New Warriors.
