Michael Fassbender In Talks For Steve Jobs Biopic

Actor Michael Fassbender has been having another successful year in 2014. He is coming off of May's hugely successful X-Men: Days of Future Past, playing a young Magneto, which has grossed a mammoth $746 million worldwide. He also received good reviews for his work in August's quirky indie Frank, where he played the lead singer of a small pop group, while wearing a large fake head. Now, it looks as though the Oscar-nominated actor could be taking on his most high-profile role yet.

According to Variety, with Christian Bale leaving the project, Sony has moved quickly to find the man to portray the late Apple founder Steve Jobs. Michael Fassbender is in early talks to play Jobs in the Sony biopic that Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) is directing. Based on Walter Isaacson’s biography Steve Jobs, the book has been adapted into a script by Oscar-winning writer Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network). Seth Rogen (Neighbors) is in talks to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Sorkin has publicly said the movie will be divided into three long scenes, each taking place backstage before one of Apple’s famous product launches.

Based on the mixed reaction to the last movie about Steve Jobs (2013's Ashton Kutcher-starring Jobs), lets hope with all of the talent involved, we get a more in-depth look into one of the most fascinating minds of our times.
