Netflix Renews One Day at a Time

Netflix is giving One Day at a Time a second season, according to Variety. One Day at a Time is executive produced by Norman Lear with Mike Royce and Gloria Calderon Kellett serving as the showrunners. The show premiered on Netflix in January and gave audiences a look at a modern-day multi-camera sitcom that still has similarities with 1970s comedies like All in the Family. One Day at a Time follows the story of a divorced mother, played by Justina Machado, who is raising her two children with the help of her own mother (Rita Moreno) who is also living with them. The second season of the show will also have 13 episodes. This renewal isn’t much of a surprising considering that the first season received some of the best reviews for a multi-camera comedy (check out our rapturous thoughts on the series here), according to Deadline. Check back here to find out when season two of One Day at a Time will be available on Netflix.
