Rumor: Third Version of Pokémon Sun/Moon Coming to Switch

"Late 2017 release"
If Eurogamer’s sources are to be believed, Pokémon is on the way to Nintendo Switch in a big way. noqfmy74u0ccmz1vhwan According to “multiple sources,” a third version of Pokémon Sun and Moon are in development for Nintendo’s console, codenamed Pokémon Stars. This will be the first mainline Pokémon on a console in the twenty years Pokémon has been around. It's also the first third version of a Pokémon game since 2009’s Pokémon Platinum. The report said that the game’s far enough in development to release this time next year, and will be just Sun and Moon with high-resolution visuals. The game will be compatible with the Pokémon Bank application currently on the 3DS. Pokémon caught in other games are usable into the console edition. That means you can go ahead and pick up Sun and Moon, which releases today, and continue with Stars once that releases. Game Freak announced that they’re working on a Switch game earlier this year, so this checks out with their confirmation. They usually put their games on Nintendo handhelds, but the Switch’s long-term goals (and its overall purpose) suggest that Nintendo is merging the concept of console and handheld in order to allow customers to choose one system and developers to make stuff on one system.
