Jessica Lange Will Appear in American Horror Story: Hotel

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly released this morning, American Horror Story showrunner and co-creator Ryan Murphy announced that Jessica Lange would return for the upcoming season of his hit anthology series. Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that "She wants to come back, we just have to come up with something." As of now, it's not clear which character Lange will play for the fifth season of the hit show. Lange had previously told reporters that she was "done" with American Horror Story after season four. The Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winning actress is currently busy preparing for her role in the spring 2016 revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night, which Ryan Murphy is producing. The play will mark Lange's return to Broadway after more than a decade. Some news sites have speculated that because of Lange's busy schedule, she could be making a cameo appearance on FX's hit show instead of a regular recurring role.

The Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise will star Grammy winner Lady Gaga this season and it will be set in modern times at a hotel in Los Angeles five years after the events of the first season. The all-star cast includes Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Chloƫ Sevigny. Fans will have to wait and see what character Jessica Lange will play. Regardless if it's a minor cameo or not, Lange will undoubtedly knock it out of the park once more. American Horror Story: Hotel begins October 7 on FX.
