Showtime Promotes Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex with New Online Releases

With the start of Dexter’s final season on the horizon, Showtime has begun pulling out all the stops in promoting two of its upcoming network dramas.

First out of the gate will be Ray Donovan, premiering June 30, 2013. Starring Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight, the show follows Ray Donovan (Schreiber), a “fixer” to the Hollywood stars, whose life gets thrown into chaos when his father (Voight) is released from prison. In anticipation of the upcoming series premiere, and to drum up buzz, Showtime has released an edited version of the pilot to the network’s YouTube channel. If you want a taste of what Ray Donovan has to offer, check out the trailer to see if the show is your cup of tea.

Also set for launch, although not until September 29, 2013, is the new drama Masters of Sex. While the title may sound particularly titillating, there appears to be more to the show than sex. The new drama will tell the story of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, pioneers in the area of human sexuality. The pair will be played by Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan. Showtime released the series’ first clip to Buzzfeed this weekend. Check it out here to see if you will be spending your Sundays with Masters and Johnson come this fall.
