Street Fighter V Pre-Order Costumes & Collector’s Edition Announced

"Cammy as Jak? Ryu as Henry Cavill?"

Capcom has announced more pre-order bonuses for Street Fighter V as well as the collector's edition today. Besides the online beta phases (the first one ending tomorrow), various retailers & online outlets are getting a battle costume as another pre-order exclusive incentive. GameStop is getting Ryu, Amazon has M. Bison, Best Buy has Cammy and PSN/PC digital is getting Chun-Li. The Street Fighter IV series was riddled with costume DLC, so I'm not surprised Capcom is at it again for the sequel. Fortunately these can be unlocked in-game once the pre-order exclusive timed window ends, but the requirements are unknown for now. At least the option is there to get these costumes by pre-ordering or eventually via microtransactions like some of Capcom's releases earlier this year such as Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition.

The collector's edition for Street Fighter V that costs $99.99 contains a 10-inch Ryu statue, an artbook, soundtrack sampler, DLC codes and a free one month subscription to the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel (for those that love watching the Capcom Pro Tour and the rest of the tournament scene like me).

Street Fighter V is out on Q1 2016 for the Playstation 4 and PC. For more of my thoughts on how the game plays so far, read my hands-on impressions of the current beta phase here as well as the Rainbow Mika announcement if you missed it last week.
