Valve Won’t Announce Anything at E3 2012

Half Life fans’ torture continues: Valve recently announced that they won’t announce anything at E3 2012. Irony aside, a Valve spokesperson told Gamespot, “There are no new Valve product announcements planned for this year's E3.”

This comes after a recent podcast interview with Valve head Gabe Newell, who was asked about the status of “Ricochet 2,” commonly believed to be the codename for Half Life 3: "In terms of Ricochet 2, we always have this problem that when we talk about things too far in advance," Newell said, "we end up changing our minds as we're going through and developing stuff, so as we're thinking through the giant story arc which is Ricochet 2, you might get to a point where you're saying something is surprising us in a positive way and something is surprising us in a negative way, and, you know, we'd like to be super transparent about the future of Ricochet 2."

Fans hoping for some clarification to the rumors that Valve is developing its own gaming system will have to wait until after E3, apparently. The question remains regarding what Valve will actually show at E3 2012.
