Walking Dead Casts Key Villain
"Here Comes Negan. . ."
Over the past several months, fans of
The Walking Dead's comic incarnation have been waiting with bated breath to hear if the story's most feared villain would be making an appearance on the television series this season. Well, the wait is over. Negan has officially been cast.

Per
The Hollywood Reporter, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (
Grey's Anatomy,
Watchmen) will be taking on the role of the villain, who (at least in the comics) has seriously violent tendencies and uses a baseball bat covered in barb wire that he has named “Lucille.” Fans of the television series who have avoided any and all comic spoilers might want to refrain from reading up on Negan, who is expected to make his first appearance on the series at the end of season six, before becoming a regular character in season seven. But, suffice it to say, if you thought the Governor was bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.
The Walking Dead was recently renewed for a seventh season, which is slated to air in the fall of 2016. Scott M. Gimple will return as the series’ showrunner and executive producer.
