The X-Files to Return to Fox

"Fox wants to believe."
The X-Files is coming back for another season on Fox, this time with 10 new episodes. This classic sci-fi series found new life on Fox last year with a limited series run. Fox had decided that there’s still more story to be told and will be airing 10 more episodes of the show during the 2017-2018 television season, according to Variety. The season will still include the original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as well as series creator and showrunner Chris Carter. Production to expected to start this summer. The X-Files originally premiered on Fox in 1993 and had a nine-season run that included two motion pictures. It also earned 16 Primetime Emmy Awards over that time. With the current reboot/revival trend, it makes sense that Fox would bring back one of its biggest hit series. Although the reboot got mixed reviews when it premiered in 2016, Fox isn’t ready to give up just yet. Are you ready for another season of The X-Files?
