Xbox 360 Misses Out On Street Fighter X Tekken Exclusives

Fighting game fans are more than likely already aware that the PS3 and the PSVita will be receiving 3 extra characters for Street Fighter X Tekken, Toro and Kuro, the Sony Playstation mascots and, of course, Cole McGrath from the infamous… uh, Infamous series.  However, just like what happened with Mortal Kombat in 2011, it appears that the Xbox 360 version of the game will not be receiving any exclusives.  According to Yoshinori Ono at Capcom, they were pushing for Xbox 360 exclusive characters.

“We were in discussions with [Microsoft] for which character to put in as an exclusive, but we weren't able to decide on a character because of differences in timing and things like that."  Rumors have stated that for both fighting games, Microsoft had demanded that the characters be paid DLC. Whatever the reason, Capcom were forced to release the game without Xbox 360 exclusive characters. But who, exactly, could have made it into this already character-laden cross-over? There are only so many characters that the 360 has exclusively…

"In terms of characters we wish we could have put in the game, Master Chief or Marcus Fenix from Gears of War would have been really cool, but it was just really difficult."  Admit it. No matter how badly your mind protests, there’s a part of you that really wants to see Marcus Fenix punching Ryu right in the face. It would certainly make projectile spamming a lot more fun.

Look for Street Fighter X Tekken this March!
