The Addition of Aquaman to ‘Dawn of Justice’

And the news just keeps on coming as production on Zack Snyder's Dawn of Justice nears its start date. According to a report from HitFix, Jason Momoa of Game of Thrones and Conan The Barbarian fame, will be stepping into the role of the King of Atlantis himself, Aquaman. With Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg already set, the addition of Aquaman is more than enough to confirm that the Justice League is on its way, even if his role in Dawn of Justice is super small. jason-momoa_aap_1200 The major concern with all of this is that while bringing in all of these heavy hitters for a film that should be first, a Man of Steel sequel, is no doubt beyond cool, it could take away from continuing the journey that Superman is on. Adding all these Justice League players makes this feel like the film will be less about Superman and his relationship with Batman and more about setting up the Justice League movie. If done right, the film should serve as a standalone entity as well as do a bit of teasing a future team up film. Hopefully Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. know what they're doing. What do you all think of the casting choice of Arthur Curry/Aquaman? Personally, I say let's see what happens.
