Ubisoft has just announced details about the upcoming multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. PS3 users will gain an exclusive early peek of the first-ever multiplayer experience from the beloved Assassin’s Creed franchise if they pre-order any version of the full game from Gamestop. Those who pre-order will receive the beta code on their reservation receipts and online customers will receive an email of the code by September 20th. All participants must redeem the code by September 27th to be eligible for the beta which begins on October 4th. Positions are limited so the beta codes will be handled on a first come first serve basis
The beta showcases nine different characters to choose from such as the courtesan and doctor. Each character will posses his or her own unique strengths, weaknesses and abilities. Up to eight players can partake in a game at once. Two modes will be featured—“Wanted” and “Alliance”. “Wanted” pits all players against one another as each player kills their respective target and eludes the authorities. The player with the highest score by the end of the round wins. “Alliance” asks players to team up (two to a team) in order to take down their mark. All of the beta action will take place in maps of Rome and Castle Gandolfo. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood wall-dashes onto store shelves on November 16th 2010.
