Battlefield 4’s Battlelog Features Revealed

A recently released trailer for DICE’s and EA’s upcoming military-themed first-person shooter Battlefield 4 reveals a slew of new features dedicated to tablet, mobile and PC integration in the game. In Battlefield 4, players will be able to interact with the game anywhere they are – creating a loadout on the bus home, checking out GEO leaderboards while on the bathroom or even see what your friends are up to are all but a few examples.

Perhaps the most interesting reveal was the inclusion of player-driven missions and challenges. Through a few swipes on the tablet, players can setup challenges such as “destroy the most tanks in any given game” and whenever one of your friends has topped the leaderboards, you’ll be notified on your handheld device, thus prompting you to crush their feeble efforts at becoming the best tank slayer amongst your friends.

While merging a multitude of devices into a singular experience will be a popular next-gen trend, it remains to be seen whether or not Battlefield 4's Battlelog can lend the most exciting features this fall.
