Buy Call of Duty On Last-Gen, Upgrade To Current-Gen For Free

"Call of Duty Providing A Free Upgrade To PS4/Xbox One"

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will support cross generation upgrading. Activision has announced that players who buy a Xbox 360 or PS3 digital copy of Call of Duty this year will be able to upgrade to the current gen, PS4/Xbox One version, for free. The deal will only work in the same console family, so Xbox 360 owners can't upgrade to PS4 for free. This offer will only apply to digital copies of Advanced Warfare.
The deal will expire March 31, 2014. The upgrade offer will also apply to any DLC, gun skins or even the season pass. All stats, upgrades and progress will also transfer between consoles.
Dedicated Servers Announced for Call of Duty: Ghosts
Last year, a similar program was made available to Call of Duty: Ghosts purchasers. Though that program charged $10 and was available for those who bought the game physically. These upgrade programs seem like a good way to sell previous generation copies, without making people feel like they are stuck playing the older game. Or making them spend $60+ to play on a new console they might get at some point.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on Xbox One, Ps4, Xbox 360, Ps3 and PC on November 4th.
