Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops will receive a fourth installment downloadable content pack called "Rezurrection" which is slated for release this year. "Rezurrection" is reported to come out August 23rd for the Xbox 360. No release date yet for the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the DLC but expect the DLC to release one month after.
From the Call of Duty website:
This all-Zombies content pack hurls players into orbit with "Moon," the climax to the Zombies saga, as well as the most challenging and thrilling adventure yet. The undead shift in and out of sight, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Undead astronauts easily shamble toward their next meal, unaffected by the base's fluctuating gravity. Arm yourself with a space-age arsenal of epic proportions, including the Wave Gun, capable of cooking zombies from the inside out, as well as the Quantum Entanglement Device , which taps into the theories of quantum mechanics to bless (or curse!) your battle against the undead. Along with new equipment and an all-new Perk for thrice the zombie-slaying fun, you'll have the tools you need to turn back the undead tide once and for all.
"Rezurrection" will have five maps like previous Black Ops DLC. The major difference between previous DLC packs is that the majority of these are not made for multiplayer usage. "Rezurrection" features four re-mastered maps of Zombie madness including Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese and the Zombie factory that started it all. This is great news for those who play Call of Duty's Zombie mode exclusively and want to continue or refresh that experience. There hasn't been a video shown on the DLC yet but expect the gravity to be a factor. With your purchase of "Rezurrection" you also get the enhanced Zombies Soundtrack including three tracks never before available for purchase. This might as well be dubbed "Call of Duty: Zombie Apocalypse."
If you bought Black Ops "Hardened" or "Prestige," "Rezurrection" will come free of charge, rewarding its most loyal fan base who supported the game from day one. If you didn't buy the "Hardened" or "Prestige" versions of the game, the map pack will cost you 1200 Microsoft point (15 dollars).
