CBS Gives Full Season Orders to ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘Person of Interest’

CBS has given full season orders to its freshman dramas Unforgettable and Person of Interest, but no word on its struggling medical drama A Gifted Man.

Unforgettable is a police procedural starring Poppy Montgomery (Without a Trace) as Carrie Wells, a female police detective with a medical condition giving her the ability to remember everything she has been through, literally. Since its very respectable premiere (14.09 million viewers) the show has dominated its Tuesday (10 PM EST) time slot even if the acceptable ratings, hovering between 2.5 and 2.9, have not been particularly impressive by CBS's standards.

Unforgettable's companion in bliss, Person of Interest, has had very similar ratings, but is far from dominating its Thursday (9 PM EST) time slot. In fact, the show only pulls ahead of The Secret Circle, the teenage witches drama from the CW. Person of Interest stars Michael Emerson (Lost) as eccentric billionaire Finch and Jim Caviezel as former CIA agent Reese who, with the help of a computer program, team up to prevent crimes before they occur.

Still waiting for the gift of the coveted back-9 order is A Gifted Man, the medical drama starring Patrick Wilson as Michael Holt, a driven and brilliant neurosurgeon living in a bubble until the ghost of his ex-wife Anna (Jennifer Ehle) comes knocking. The series has had a very modest start (9.45 million viewers) and has been struggling ever since in its Friday (8 PM EST) time slot.
