This is why PC gamers love Valve. A new extensive update has been announced for the now six year old game Counterstrike: Source. There will be 144 new Steam cloud achievements, a new domination and revenge system similar to Team Fortress 2, player statistics, and more according to the Steam news page. There will also be "a host of new features and functionality developed in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios". The update is currently in beta, and server admins have already downloaded it, so in theory, you could join a Beta server. On the forums there has been talk of possible new weapons, but that isn't a certainty. The update will be given out free for current Counterstrike: Source owners via Steam once the beta is complete.
